Q. Can we have look/see/try out before we enrol?

A. Yes - Simply contact the office to book in for your try out.

Q. What should my child wear for the try out?

A. Something comfortable and safe to dance in like leggings, singlet top or T shirt. Street shoes are not permitted in the dance space so bare feet is the best option if they do not have any 'dress up' dance shoes to wear.

Please note: As most students will be wearing the correct uniform in class we recommend that you let your child know that they will likely be wearing different clothes to the other children (as to ensure they feel comfortable in giving the class a go).

Q. What are the fees?

A. Term fees are based on the number of weeks in a school term and vary from 7 to 11 weeks in 2018. Fees start at $160.00 for a 10 week term - 45 minute class. Discounts apply for early payment.

The Fee schedule for a 10 week term is outlined on page 18 of our General Information document. A non-refundable annual enrolment fee of $13.00 (GST inclusive) is payable at the time of enrolling. For more information about enrolment please click here

Q. Can we do a make-up class?

A. Yes. If your child cannot attend their normal weekly class you can arrange for them to have a make up class on a different day/time. You will need to contact the office via email (preferred method) or phone to arrange this.

Q. Do you have a uniform?

A. Yes - Uniform requirements are found on p. 12 of our General Information document.

Q. Where can I buy the uniform?

A. The following stores supply all your dancewear needs:

Dance Art - store at Croydon

Upstage Dancewear - stores at Nunawading and Dandenong

Dancewear Central - 4 Clarke St, Lilydale

Knox Dancewear – 1st Floor 434a Burwood Highway (opp Knox City)

Bloch – stores at Doncaster Shoppingtown, Chadstone Shopping Centre and Southbank Complex

Target, Kmart, Big W, Best and Less often have dance clothing in stock

Q. Are parents allowed into the dance space?

A. No. We have areas at each studio that the parents can view the class from if needed. Your child can see you too from within the dance space.

Q. Do parents/carers need to stay whilst the class is in progress?

A. No. Once we have all your enrolment details we encourage parents to leave.

Q.  Do the students need to wear make-up for performances?

A. No. It is preferred but not compulsory.

Q.  Do the students have to perform in the concerts?

A. No. We assume that all students are performing (exception FitFun classes). If this is not the case contact the office as soon as you are aware that your child cannot perform.

Q. Do you have to be a student at KDA to undertake VCE VET Dance?

A. No - Any student from any school can enrol in VCE VET Dance at KDA. You simply have to let your VCE co-ordinator know and forward an enrolment form to us.
